DESCRIPTION:Shihan, 7th dan Aïkikaï of Tokyo\n1980 First steps: student of Japanese senseis\nMicheline Tissier began aikido at the age of 15, at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo (Japan). Initially, she practiced mainly with Master Masuda and Master Ichihashi, whom she found more accessible to the beginner that she was. For her first class, her partner and guide was Christian Tissier, then sempai of all foreigners (in Japan, you stay with the same partner for an hour). A little later she took classes with Yamaguchi Seigo Sensei and the Doshu of the time: Ueshiba Kisshomaru.\n2007 6th dan awarded\nIn 2007, Micheline Tissier was awarded the rank of 6th dan Aikikai by Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba. She is the first European to achieve this rank.
